| The new customer programmable CoreTech™ Incremental encoders by SICK Stegmann empower the customer to freely program the number of lines from 1 to 8,192 and the width of the zero pulse using a USB cable and a simple programming software tool. |
| These programmable encoders will be of special interest to End Users, OEM’s, System Integrators, Consulting Engineers and Distributors. If, for example, End Users have several encoders with different PPR’s, and they experience a breakdown, they can use the SICK Stegmann customer programmable encoder to replace almost any other manufacturer’s encoder and program it with the required PPR. The operator need only plug the encoder into a USB port and use a simple software program to set the required PPR. |

| OEM’s can now use these customer programmable encoders to do research and development to find the optimum PPR needed on their equipment. They can also re-program the encoders to meet their specific customers’ needs. |
